CHRISTMAS PARADE Saturday 26 November
The theme this year is Christmas music. At the Friends’ meeting on Tuesday night it was decided that we would use a Nativity theme and ask that the children dress as shepherds, kings, cows, sheep or donkeys only. Please let us know if your child will be coming on our school float. We need some rectangular hay bales to use on the float and helpers on the day as well as someone to spend a few hours preparing decorations. Can you help?
– sorry, no pre-schoolers. There will be two teachers on it and they will call upon extra adults if needed.
HELP
The recent warm wet weather has caused the weeds to go rampant in our school gardens.
We are looking for volunteers to spend an hour or two weeding the garden by the car park and round the school gardens between Room 3 and the library. Please just pop in when it suits and let us know at the office.
$100 & SIGNED All BLACK DOLL RAFFLES
Year 8 girls will be selling tickets to fundraise for their end of year trip to Picton. Please support them. $100 Raffle at $2 per ticket will be drawn as soon as all tickets are sold.
The All Black doll tickets are 20c each. A great Christmas gift for a fan! It has been signed by the three All Blacks who visited the Wairarapa during the World Cup.
God Bless You All

PET DAY 4 November
If you have any remaining questions about what happens on PET day please direct these to your classroom teacher.
Cups/trophies – these will be handed out to the winners on the day and then collected back in so that we can have them engraved for you immediately. As soon as this is done the children can take them home to display.
9.00am – Decorated Biscuits/cakes to arrive at school
Bring all materials for construction, sand saucer, flowers in a novelty container, garden scene tray or plate and decorated shoe. These will be ‘built’ in the classrooms during the first hour of the morning.
10.00am – Animals arrive at school.
Dogs are to be tied along the fence line adjacent to the netball court. Please provide water.
10.30am - Judges and marshals morning tea
Lambs will be in the ring on the field, beyond the children’s playground and must be on a lead.
All miscellaneous animals – birds, mice, rabbits etc. must also be in a secure cage of some type. All animals that are in cages must be kept inside the cage so that they do not escape. Children are to label their cage with the animals name and will be sitting with their pets after the classroom activities.
Judging begins late morning and prize giving follows early afternoon.
